Aristocrate Beatrice

Posted by Veve  Published in 12: Beatrice

The last few weeks I spent some more time again with Bea.
When I started to wonder why Luto didn't want to give me anymore NPC quests,
I suddenly realized that there still had to be quest active waiting for me to complete it.

Mirror Images, I believe this is the very last quest available out there. It involves killing a Demon in a solo 50 BCNM in Qu'Bia Feiyn. The fight was really too easy, but I had incredibly much fun :-)

After this last quest I spent some time in bonding with Bea and in getting her the clothes I always wanted her to have.
!!! Aristocrat's Coat !!!

It is really such a shame that you can only lock three single pieces of armor, instead of all four of them (Sorry honey, but the gloves will probably have to go). In fact it's just a pity that SE didn't do anything anymore Adventuring fellow wise in the last 6 months. The level cap is still 65 and they didn't add any more quests or options.

Hopefully they will do so in the near future, meanwhile I still have time to slowly level Bea to 65 ^_^

Picture Perfect

I realise I have been neglecting this blog lately, but that's really just because
I have been caught up with so much real life stuff lately, that I barely managed
to log into ffxi at all past month :(
but since I woke up extremely early this morning ({Insomnia}{You can have this}),
I found some time to go mess around in Vana'diel a little, this of course while sipping my hot cup of morningcoffee.

So much to do and so little time, but hey,
suddenly I feel Beatrice (my npc*) pulling my arhat-sleeve, practically begging me to help her with her LB1.
After explaining me that she had already teamed up with some other npcs while I was away to get her ancient papyrus, I figured the hardest part of the quest was already over. We geared up to finish the rest…

  • You must have completed the quest “A Pose by Any Other Name”
    before starting this quest.
  • After your NPC is level 50, while wearing your Signal Pearl, talk to Diederik, in Selbina, who gives you a choice to go to either Angelica in Windurst Waters or Umberto in Bastok Markets. Whichever one you go to, your NPC will go to the other.

Option 1: Angelica

  • Talk to Angelica in Windurst Waters for a cutscene with her and then a cutscene showing what was happening back in Bastok. Umberto mentions a Bal Shell and Angelica requests that you find one for her.
  • Take a pickaxe to Korroloka Tunnel and excavate.
  • Take the Bal Shell back to Angelica for another cutscene.
  • Angelica then asks you to find an Opalescent Stone for her to use in a painting.

Option 2: Umberto

(since both options have you go to Korroloka Tunnel, you might as well use this one.)

  • Talk to Umberto in Bastok Markets for a cutscene with him and then a cutscene showing what was happening back in Windurst. Umberto requests a Bal Shell.
  • Take a pickaxe to Korroloka Tunnel and excavate.
  • Take the Bal Shell back to Umberto for another cutscene.
  • Return and talk to Diederik in Selbina for another cutscene in which you see that your friend is in trouble (make sure you have either a Signal Pearl or Tactics Pearl equipped).

Umberto you bastard sword !

After both Options

    1. Travel to Castle Oztroja and find the Brass Door in I-8 on the upper level of the map where Quu Domi the Gallant spawns. Click on it once for another cutscene and again to enter the room.
    2. Click on the ??? inside the room to spawn a Yagudo Muralist (BLM) and your NPC (He’s supereasy when you’re 75)
    3. During the battle, your friend will appear and help you defeat the Yagudo.
    4. When defeated, first talk to your NPC and then click the ??? again to get an Opalescent Stone (key item).
    5. Speak with Angelica in Windurst Waters who will give you a Key Item: Old Woman's Portrait and ask you to deliver it to Umberto in Bastok Markets to complete the quest.

——-

After the Quest, Beatrice* had to log immediately, so I still had some time left to pay a quick visit to Bibiki Island.
About a week ago my ninja hit level 75 and although it was never my intention to get a second job to level 75,
I am pretty afraid more jobs might follow *>_<*

Relief that the ninja-journey to level 75 has finally come to an end…
