Today I googled "Verohawke" to see if my weblog was still scoring high in the ranking and I found out that someone is using my FFXI name as nickname for other games such as:

Eve Online
Second Life
Gollm Killboard

As I am pretty sure that Verohawke is a rather unique name (so arrogant of me!),
I tried to find out more about the person who might be abusing my sacred name which is linked with a reputation of honor (still being cocky).

Apparently the person in Second Life is a Belgian friend of mine who used to play on the Shiva Server as well. So I am pretty confident that my name will become known in a proper way  

I have no idea yet about who's using my name in EVE,
but I am holding my breath as I found this face next to my name on an EVE website:

Is that supposed to me?
Now I know that I am not really beautiful in real life, but why would someone want to play such a hideous character in any game? /shiver/shiver

Anyway, should you ever come across a certain Verohawke in any other game but Final Fantasy XI, just know that it isn't me.

It's Neko_week !!!

As I finally saved up enough gil with crafting, BCNMs and taking another mortgage on my Moogle Palace, the time had finally come to visit my plastic surgeon Dr Monberaux in Upper Jeuno again to ask him if he was still willing to perform some reconstructive surgery on me.

To refresh the memories of those who don't really remember; I have seriously been considering for a while to get a MJ-like FFXI transformation and become a Mithra.

Well, today was finally D-day and I was ready to get under the scalpel. The entire operation took about 28 hours and the only thing Dr Monberaux had to work with were some sharp knivezzzzz and this dodgy picture.

I must say I am really happy with the outcome of the operation as he also managed to cut away a large portion of my cellulite. I do however need to stay out of the sunlight for a while to avoid pigment stains. Moreover, as a side effect of my transformation into a Mithra my C-cup breasts have shrunk drastically and are at this point nothing more than a mere A+ Cup (which despite of what it should mean is quite bad). Unfortunately As I am low on cash flow right now, it will take me a while to get the necessary money together to get this corrected, but Dr Monberaux promised me a huge discount if I would eventually appoint him for the boob job.

So please don't be startled if from now on you see some blond mithra on the screenshots instead of a fat Hume:)

You see me here in my tight Black mage outfit, right before entering the Jungle Boogeyman BCNM. It's a very easy fun fight where you have to whack 4 tonberries. This BCNM guarantuees the drop of two torques. My orb dropped an elemental torque, a summoning torque and some various junk. Total worth 200k~ but then again, better than nothing…

On the right, you see me when I just exited Dr Monberaux's private hospital right after the surgery. Although still heavily sedated, I couldn't resist showing off my new body already :)

On the left you see a happy Thief who finally hit 37 today !! As I had so much fun leveling it, I am really considering to also take it to level 75. The only thing that bothers me about the job, is that even today you still have to explain certain partymembers how SaTa works exactly…

So what to take to 75?

Yaaay, start collecting Homam pieces already :S

This job really looks so appealing to me !

I surely already have all the equipment for that job…

Speaking about Bard, I paid NOVV a visit again the other in the hope that after killing him for 6282930 times, he'd finally drop the darn coat. However when I got there, a level 75 thief was already on the verge of killing it, but as he was apparently only farming he invited me to his party to cast lots. I was so happy ! I thanked him like 1001 times (in Verostyle) and once I got back to Jeuno I immediately sent a surprise to his Moogle House… A nice shiny Aquarium full of fishy fishes :-)

First of all my sincere apologies for the incredible delay, but as usual real life got to me and as most of the other FFXI bloggers know, it takes a while to get a decent webpost prepped

Anyway, with the last FFXI update came the final installment of the "Treasures of Aht Urhgan" story. I must warn you for some spoilers ahead, if you haven't finished the ToAU missions yet. 

The bosses became harder and harder toward the end of the story. It is as if SE finally understood that we're not the regular WOW players and that they realized the missions were becoming a little too easy. Alexander (the bad machine on the picture above), wasn't exactly the easiest nut to crack, but in the end he landed on the same scrapeyard as Ultima-Omega.

After you have completed all the missions, you are rewarded with one out of three rings (sounds familiar?). As I chose for the Tamas ring after the completion of COP, I found it was appropriate for Veroninja to choose the melee ring this time. At the end of the story you also get the infamous Glory Crown, which is mere symbolic in value as it has no stats on it.

After my final cutscene I noticed that I also had my next AU_mercenary_rank quest flagged: First Lieutenant !

The quest mainly involved: locating piggies, catching intruders and saying "I like coffee" in a different language.
So basically all the fun stuff together lol…

Apparently there is still a final rank of Captain after this one, which you automatically obtain by completing all the 50 different assaults. The main reward for achieving this rank is that you can accumulate an extra assault ID tag (big deal).
Although I do like the sound of Captain Verohawke, it will be a difficult task to gather parties to finish the uncompleted assaults. Even worse, I am not sure if I can remember which ones exactly I still have to do

Naja looked sad during the cutscenes as if she realized that all the -bullying me around- fun had finally come to an end :'( 

And since we were on the subject of pigs anyway, my latest encounter is the perfect thing to conclude this post with. Unfortunately he's not back at all, but King Pig is merely abusing his virtual body
